Law School Party Ranking FAIL!

When I saw Subtledig’s Party Law School Rankings, I was shocked, nay astonished.  Not shocked to find my glorious Alma Mater in the top 50 and ranked a full 30 spots higher than our US News ranking, I already knew my law school was not good for much except getting blitzed at our local watering holes, but rather, astonished to see schools such as Harvard, Yale, Berkley, and Stanford ranked #10, 12, 7, and 21 respectively.  Look, there may be some secret underground partying cabal in place in schools like Harvard and Yale that I do not know about but I know for a fact that Berkley and Stanford are completely underserving of their illustrious rankings.  I have had the pleasure of hanging out with students from these schools and I can tell you that the word “party” does not come to mind when I think of them.  Instead, they evoke words like “boring” and “douchebag.”  I imagine the situation is much the same at Harvard and Yale.  Thus, their rankings along with religion based schools BYU and various Catholic schools making the list lead be to the irrefutable conclusion that Subtledig’s rankings are a heaping pile of steaming BS.  Good day.

I have to disagree with respect to Stanford. I went to Santa Clara Law, and once went up to visit a buddy at Stanford Law (the valedictorian of his class, no less), and by the end of the night, we had crashed two undergrad sorority parties, he and most of his classmates were falling over themselves drunk, and I ended up sleeping in a ditch.

they should do a section by section "party" breakdown of each law school's "section"...cause i guarantee you our section 1L is number one in the country...hands down...

Ain't no party like a Section 5/6 party cuz a Section 5/6 party don't stop!
  • Section 5/6 should go down in history as the class that single handedly eliminated Barrister's Ball at a hotel, Benefit for Social Justice as we knew it first year AND still managed to produce at least 4 top 10 students and EIC and Managing editors for two different law journals.

amen to that...and don't forget single handedly ruining free drinks at the end of freshman orientation...ah fun times...
  • Santa Clara Law kids can be pretty crazy from what I hear.

How about the fact that both my undergrad Alma Mater AND my grad school Alma Mater are both listed in the Top 50? Knowing that little fact should help people understand why I am the way I am.
  • I believe the correct term is "D-bag".

I trolled around the Tax Prog Blog and the statistics listed, I like how it calculated which schools drink the most, which schools have the most datable students, etc...hahaha, though I was sad my alma mater didn't get onto any of these mini lists....,

UC Davis at #27? The kids at King Hall don't get down like that.
  • Drunk lawyer students, How cliche. Maybe they can be DUI lawyers. A resource for finding DUI lawyers is http://atlanta-lawyers.info
