Are these the same type of people who say, “Oh if you win the lottery you're going to have a pay a lot in taxes” ? Like, gee, I'm still better off with my mere 8 million even though I won 10 million… but I think I'll bitch about the part I lost.

Hmm, what's better $250,000 taxed at 30% or make $40,000 and get taxed at 20%. Hmm. Of course the rich should get taxed more, it's common sense. Unless the tax is over 75% they can afford it. But if you raise the tax on say a teacher's salary at $40,000 you're going to ruin them.

I've debated several people on twitter over the point you make, and each time they just respond by saying something along the lines of “are you just eager to get mugged?” You just can't get a simple idea such as “$250,000 = SUCCESS!” into their heads.

It is human nature to want what you can't have. The problem with these people is that they don't get the “can't have” part of this equation. I would LOVE to be considered “working rich” but that ain't happening anytime soon!

if i made 250k and my biggest worry was a tax increase…i'll take it and be happy with the way my life has gone…you gotta love the continued “HIGH TAX” cry coming from the GOP when the simple, plain statistics show that the supposed “tax increases” are minimal.. .

That's right, don't buy that house in the Hamptons if you can't afford it. Don't hire that gardner if you don't need it. Don't send you kids to schools you can't afford. Poor $250k people out there.

I hope I have these problems soon.
