Spanish Judge Goes After Gonzo, Yoo and Crew
So the Spanish are on a crusade to go after some Bush-Era players as a result of five Spanish citizens alleging that they were tortured in Gitmo. Judge Baltasar Garzon is on a mission that seeks to indict six former Bushies, including former Attorney General Alberto “Gonzo” Gonzales, and the infamous US DOJ lawyer John C. Yoo, among others. Judge Garzon has been very passionate about international human rights violations, as this is the same guy who went after Pinochet. But before you go getting all giddy that someone wants to take these guys to court and make ‘em sweat, keep in mind that we aren’t about to hand over our own to the Spanish. So even if you wanted to see these men pay for what they have done, It’ll never happen. I mean, who in their right mind would ever hand these guys over to an international court where they would likely be found guilty of violating international law? Nobody like that exists! If only there were someone willing to go the distance to ensure justice prevails. Dog the Bounty Hunter? Naa, too much of a pansy. He’d start being too nice to Gonzo and his crew after he rounded them up. Hmm. There MUST be someone…
