There has been some hoopla in the legal tech world over the attempted trademark of the term “netbook”, by Psion. Intel and Dell have banned together to fight “evil” efforts. Well, in return for Intel and Dell’s attempt at fighting the good fight, Psion has filed an interesting counterclaim against Intel in its answer. (Read the answer here.) Call it a bitch-smack. Psion don’t play! But for many people, the term “netbook” might not even ring a bell. So if you aren’t quite computer savvy, the good folks over at The Register have created a handy flow chart to let you know whether that new fangled lappy you just brought home is a netbook, UMPC, or some other variation.
